Wildlife Watch Group

Wildlife Watch Group – the club for young people with an enquiring mind into nature This is the Junior Club of the LWT and is for young people between the ages of 8 and 15. Events are arranged on a regular basis, usually monthly and parents are welcome to join in the activities.

Horncastle and Limewoods Wildlife Watch Programme
January-May 2008

All meetings are from 10:00am - 12:00noon, except the 17th May evening walk. Booking is essential for each meeting.

Saturday 8th March
Trailblazing in the Woods. Help create a secret nature trail off the paths, deep in the trees. Wear old clothes. Chambers Farm Wood.



Saturday 15th March
Sowing and planting plants for bees, butterflies and birds. Sow sunflower seeds in pots and wildlflower seeds in the meadow at Banovallum House.




Saturday 19th April
Minibeasting. A close look for all things creepy crawly, from spiders to slugs! Banovallum House.



Saturday 26th April
"Digi-trail"nature ramble to explore and try out the trail we made last time and to find out what animals and plants are living there, then we will create our own trail books. Please bring a digital camera if you have one. Chambers Farm Wood.






Saturday 17th May,
Nightingale Walk at Chambers Farm Wood. Come for a walk to hear birdsong (including, hopefully, nightingales and woodcocks). Chambers Farm Wood.
